Aliens , Religion and Christmas

I began watching Paul Wallis and the 5th Kind TV out of curiosity. Afterall, the Canadian Armed Forces soldiers log UFO sightings as part of their northern patrol; it's not a new thing to watch for humans and not quite humans entering Canada from the Far North. In fact, the indigenous people of North America have spoken of the Sky People for eons.

What Paul and Maurio are doing is unravelling via translation, the hidden context in the Bible that have kept alien/human interactions and the true realities of godlike entities from being part of mainstream Christianity. Why does this interest me, not being Christian? Is it even relevant to my own religious views as a pagan who respects the gods of old who created the Northern Peoples?

Well, unlike a recently interviewed scholar of Icelandic writings regarding the Viking gods and goddesses, I don't believe my ancestors tried to hide anything at all.  I was a bit offended by Paul's recent guest, as this is a religion and reality for me, not mythology.

In the Voluspa and Havamal, Odin makes no attempt to pretend he is the only god nor does he favour only one race of his creations.  To the young Sun God who eventually becomes the All Father or King of Asgard, humanity is an intriguing species. It is also rather fragile in comparison to his own, despite being made from a blend of Ash Tree and Sun God blood.

The Yggdrasil being described as a spacecraft drove me to write today's blog essay. Yggdrasil is a great tree, the Tree of Life. On it hang the nine realms like fruit on branches; this is a metaphor for our solar system and it's nine planets.  The saying "as above, so below" is often put into visual form by drawing the trees roots to mirror that of the top branches. To call the tree a vessel diminishes what the tree implies,

There is a tradition of the Invisible Ones in Scandinavian culture.  The realm of the visible and invisible is also represented in Yggdrasil. Scientists speak of matter and antimatter. They  discovered hovering craft outside large cities that seem to stay in place by a propulsion system that converts matter into anti matter and back again. We are clearly being observed by a technologically superior race.

The Elves in my religion are not "Santa's helpers" but a race of God's who are seemingly immortal in comparison to the Asir.  There are Light Elves and Dark Elves, with the dark being described as "mostly evil". Modern Christians have taken to the Internet lately about demons - well this could be an adequate comparison to the antimatter Elves. To say they are mixed with human makes no sense because their race is more ancient than the Sun Gods of Odin's family.

Dwarves are described as humanoid. The Dwarves, unlike the Elves, were created by Odin from cave creatures feeding on the blood of Ymir. He transformed them into human like beings that are physically attracted to people but whose physiology is different.  They cannot tolerate sunlight. They are pale, white as in snow not just light skinned. They have delicate features with pointy ears and upturned noses.

It is from this once insect like race that the ability to create intricate technology comes from. The Asir use these loyal Dwarves to have special weapons made, sailing vessels, even beautiful jewellery. Indeed, Santa's Little Helpers are most likely dwarves, Santa being a metaphor for Odin, the All father. His eight legged, white horse Sleipner transformed over time into eight Reindeer pulling a sled who could fly.

In fact, following the holiday season all gives clues about the real Messiah of the season, Baldur.  Historians blame Roman Church priests trying to increase their flock by placing Jesus's birthday on "Christmas Day" instead of in the spring. But the boughs of Holly,  kisses beneath the hanging mistletoe,  poinsettias on tables all connect to the story of Baldur the Beautiful who also healed and comforted sick and weak humans and his journey into Helheim.

That's a blog essay for another day.  Despite this odd sidestep into "almost" Norse god/ alien connections, I do recommend 5th Kind TV as Paul and Maurio are extremely dedicated translators. They do justice to so many incongruities present in the Bible.  And they have a fascination of pyramid structured I too am drawn to.

Newfoundland Pyramids, another topic for another day. Take care out there folks. Blessed be. As above, so below.
